Could you share a link where you found this info? Thanks!

D was waitlisted. For future reference–

test optional, Capstone diploma candidate, 4.0 uw, 7 APs–sent 2 scores, rank around 10 out of 330, great ecs, good essays

Accepted at American with scholarship, also in state at UNC and NC State; deferred at Chicago, denied at Vanderbilt. Waiting for Duke tomorrow, but leaning strongly toward UNC. We’re happy with how she did.

Good luck to everyone! There is indeed a randomness to it and not being accepted doesn’t mean you aren’t as worthy as others!!! There are many great schools out there.

No link. Someone put it here from their counselors. Emory sends decisions and stats to school counselors. Alumni and students get the stats too. Sometime during the week I will get two emails - one to alumni and one as a parent of a current student with all statistics.

Please note that Emory will only allow for two majors, one major and one minor or one major. Are there exceptions. Maybe. I know I had a friend that wrote an undergrad thesis and the math department thought it was so brilliant he got his masters conferred too but it’s not the norm. I double majored and wanted a minor but couldn’t and my son just applied for his double major and it said on the form that he could not do any more than that.

D22 accepted. 4.0UW, 9 APs, 35 ACT.

The Bio interest is a maybe - she may take some pre med type courses while there since she loves AP Bio this year. To be determined, I suppose, like most 18 year olds starting college. I think she listed German and Psych when she officially applied, not 100% sure.

Nice. I majored in bio and religion (now you have to specialize and cannot do generic religion). My son is majoring in psyche and music.

DD accepted to both Emory and Oxford campuses. 4.58 W; 1490 SAT; 7 APs.

Waitlisted @ Oxford. Does anybody know if there’s hope to get off of it? I would do Oxford if I got into both so not disappointed at all.

Kid #1 in at Emory CAS! 1600 SAT, 4.0 UW/4.78 W GPA, multiple APs, Natl Merit Finalist, decent amt of extracurriculars.

Rejected MIT, USC, UT Austin. Accepted w/scholarships at IU (Kelley) and UMD Honors (Smith). Waiting on several Ivies, Duke.

What can folks tell me about the BBA (business) program? How hard is it to get into (after soph. year) and is it worth the cost…? I know Emory more for its grad/medical, but don’t know as much about the business school.

I had many friends that applied and went to the B-School. It is a solid program with good connections. Some students will stay and get the MBA too. I was there 1990-1994 but at that time every person I knew who wanted to go to the business school from the undergrad program got in if they had been successful for the first two years with what at that time was their distribution requirements. Actually I don’t personally know any undergrads that weren’t successful if they wanted business or nursing being able to get into those program after the two years and that is from both campuses. I am sure there must be but I don’t know any.
