I'm worried/curious about the very noticeable differences in class statistics (e.g. GPA, SAT, etc.) between Oxford and Emory. Is it because Oxford focuses more on ECs and personal qualities than academics?

Also, I've heard it said that Oxford students receive more personal attention and smaller class sizes, not to mention more rigorous instruction. How true is this?

Furthermore, if my stats seem (please, no offense intended...I really am very worried) much higher than those of most Oxford students...might I be rejected b/c it appears as if I won't attend? Especially b/c I haven't made any formal campus visits, shown significant interest, my school almost never sends anyone to Emory/Oxford, etc.?

Finally, am I allowed to ask my counselor to nominate me as an Oxford Scholar?
