Do they notify URMs that are rejected or waitlisted on that same day?

That I’m not 100% sure about but for the call-outs I just got an email informing me that “Tomorrow night, the decisions for our minority applicants will be available online!” so take that for what it’s worth.

On OPUS, my D has 3 email messages from Emory FinAid office asking for additional tax docs from us to complete her aid application. Here is the actual quote:

“We need additional information before your award can be finalized or disbursed. Outstanding items may delay your aid award or loan disbursement…”

Based on these emails, I am assuming she probably got in and the missing doc is what’s left for Fin Aid Award That’ll be great to hear, but until it actually happens, one can just speculate… one more week or so, I assume.

Another thing. Found a link to “Decision” on OPUS but when clicked says decision not available… Funny.

^ I got those emails too. I really hope it’s a good sign :)

The decision link has been up for a while - I don’t think it means anything.

Son got same message regarding financial aide info request and his decision link has always been up. I agree with amberstars that I don’t think it means anything but sure wish it did!! Hard to wait until April1st. I wonder what time we will get decision e-mail??

I got the same financial aid emails, and I’m pretty sure they don’t mean acceptance because I got the same kind of thing from a school that waitlisted me. It irritates me thought because I actually HAVE submitted all of my tax info. I can’t get them to respond to any of my emails either.

^ I suggest that you call the financial aid office. They did that to me as well even though I sent the information in like last month. Turns out that they had it all along. Someone thought that it was a duplicate and didn’t put it with my account.

Is it true that last year notifications went up on OPUS on the 27th?

Accepted! So excited to visit in two weeks!!!

^^how did you find out?

Just found out on OPUS a few minutes ago, that my D got in. That is really exciting to see. Good luck to all of you still waiting for a decision from Emory.

^oclement, would you be so kind as to tell us if Emory requested financial aid documents from you?

Congrats to all who got in today.

@a1jq8ab, as far as I know RD students will get decision on April 1st. Only URM (unrepresented minorities) got their letters.

ah I wish that Emory wasn’t so super “diversify or die” oriented. I’m white but I wanna know!!!

So would Asians get their decision today? Or just Black/Hispanic/Native American?

I’m a URM but my decision is not available on OPUS. Does this mean I was rejected?

I was accepted today!!

Asians would not get theirs, they are “represented.”

Did anyone get an acceptance by mail today or just on OPUS? If received by mail, was it a large packet? A few other schools have sent small letters of acceptance saying they will send large packet following that acceptance letter.
