<p>You can only apply Early Decision to one school. If you apply to one school ED, you can still apply to others EA as long as they aren’t single-choice early action programs (e.g., Yale). Also, if you apply ED to one school and aren’t accepted, you can then apply ED II to a school, if it offers that option.</p>
<p>Remember, of course, that ED is a commitment to attend that school if you’re accepted.</p>
<p>^ Well you could cheat your way out of the ED commitment, you could tell the university their financial aid offer isn’t good enough for you. Then, they can’t hold you to your ED commitment.</p>
<p>Early DECISION is a binding commitment to enroll if admitted.
Early ACTION is not.
But be aware that some schools have “single choice” early action which means that if you apply “early” to them you can’t apply “early” anywhere else.</p>
