Emory ED1 Class of 2015

^Yep, nine more applicants. TJC made a whole thread dedicated to it, and as he showed, the numbers might not be accurate.

i’m glad it didn’t go up too much
more chances for us!!

All we can do is wait…it sucks!

^agreed :(

Remember WHEN we get in a non refundable $450 deposit is due by January 15th.

^Oh, that will get there ASAP, if I get accepted…

Haha yupp. I’ll make sure it gets there even before they expect it!!

can anyone post a link to this thread or the NY TImes article? I searched NYT, and here and didn’t find anything about this.

[Early-Decision Applications Surge at Vanderbilt, George Washington and Dartmouth - NYTimes.com](<a href=“Early-Decision Applications Surge at Vanderbilt, George Washington and Dartmouth - The New York Times”>Early-Decision Applications Surge at Vanderbilt, George Washington and Dartmouth - The New York Times)

The thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/emory-university/1045840-emory-up-1-22-edi-apps.html</a></p>

I think I am going to make a new facebook page for class of 2015. The current one with 94 members seems dead.

great (: post the link here so we can join once you make itt!

[Emory Class of 2015 | Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/pages/Emory-Class-of-2015/182310975113886?ref=ts&v=page_getting_started)

Finally - my thread is actually being recognized…I think there will be a 1% chance it’s released at 12:15 - but why not, right? Wednesday would suck, but if it were at midnight (so Tues night) that would be the best case scenario.

If Emory was 53% EDI last year, I can’t see that number changing a whole lot. I would say plus/minus 5% (at the most). I’m not sure how much Emory’s drop in USNews Rankings (from 17 to 20) will change the number of applications they get, but they may take students with better stats (from EDI, EDII, and RD) to try and rise on the USNews Rankings. I know some schools actually do that - although I’m not sure if Emory cares about their rank. Unfortunately USNews ranking comes into factor in many students regular decision selections.

I’m just curious as to how 750+ applied (estimate), yet only like 20 of them are on CC. When everyone sends in their app, Emory should have emailed them with a link to the CC page! Although 750 kids posting would be insane. The Stanford EA thread has 5,500+ posts - that’s overdoing it just a wee bit. Although we definitely surpassed Class of 2014 and Class of 2013 in post count. I can thank myself, begood, and angi for that.

I don’t really know why I am posting this. Just a long rant as I wait till the clock strikes 12:15. Also, would checking this link ( [Emory College of Arts and Sciences Admission Home](Admission | Emory University | Atlanta GA) ) tell us when decisions will be posted. If you look at Announcements in bottom right…where else would they post it online? I want that email!

Best of luck.

Guys might have a slight advantage since 55% of enrolled Freshmen last year were female. Anyone know ED acceptance rate vs. Regular?

I think they will just Email and post on OPUS also snail mail, but who can wait for that!

It’s going to be a bit lower, because Emory accepted 38% of its applicants through early decision programs. I know its not a very helpful answer, but I’m just trying to pass the time lol.

50% ish vs. 30% ish. ED vs. RD, and surprisingly EDII is only 35%…

and TJC I enjoy your “ranting,” although I like to call it “scholarly discussions.” And thanks for the mention

Btw, I made the facebook page, free to join, hopefully it’ll be more active.

Am I the only one who is being real nervoous?
I am going through insomnia and it will laset until December 15th
Save me!!!

I don’t have a Facebook - had one but in 10th grade I deactivated it. If I’m in I’ll probably reactivate it but for now I’ll keep it down. Also I derive 53% from this file:

http://www.emory.edu/admission/admission/_cms/admissions_pdfs/profile_10-11.pdf</a></p>

EDI: 669 applied, 357 were accepted (53.3%)
EDII: 539 applied, 178 were accepted (33%)
