Hey everyone. I've recently been checking out Emory as it's an extremely versatile school that is closer to home than some of the other elite universities out there. I'm looking to major in Finance, and I was wondering about the Finance program at Emory. I'm assuming it's pretty strong, but I've not heard much about it. Is it extremely difficult to get into?

I've a 1290/2020 on the SAT I (which is bad), and a 32 on the ACT (which is good). I'll likely just submit my ACT score, which shouldn't cause any problems I don't think.

I am just now finishing up my concentration in finance in the bschool. I got into emory with your SAT score but then again that was 3-4 years ago. The finance program is very good at emory, probably one of the strongest programs offered within the business schools. Most of the professors have been investment bankers, hedge fund managers, and so forth. I have felt very prepared for all of my interviews this past semester.

Hi I'm a emory freshmen here. I heard that once you get in the B school, you start with a new GPA, is that correct? So if i have 3.6 prior to enrolling in B school, and keep 4.0 throughout B school, the GPA on my job resume will show 4.0?

yes your GPA starts over when you get into the business school. It just really matters what you want to depict on your resume. I averaged my GPA from the college and business school to give me the best looking GPA. you could separate them out on the GPA as college and business school. or you could simply just put your business GPA on ur RESUME. you don't want to mislead companies that will be looking at your resume though.
