Emory or Oxford?

Hey CCers,

I need your help.
SAT: 1370 (CR + M)
GPA: 3.7
ECs: pretty good

Anyways I only applied to 7 schools, 4 of which I have already been accepted to.

College of Charleston - accepted
Emory University -
Elon University - accepted
Rollins College - accepted
University of South Carolina - accepted
Vanderbilt University - rejected
Washington University in St.Louis - waitlisted

I remember the mentality I had when I applied to Emory University was Emory College is a reach school and I naively thought I'm overqualified for Oxford College. I ended up only applying Emory College; a decision I really regret.

My question to you guys is can I contact Emory asking I want to be considered for Oxford College? Is it to late to ask them?

Also if I were to be waitlisted or rejected from Emory College is there a program setup that allows waitlisted or rejected students to then apply to Oxford College?

Thank you so much!!

Yes I did the same thing and all I had to do was email the Oxford office of admissions and they said they pulled all of my information from my Emory file, and they would consider me based on that. If you do get rejected, I’ve heard that they will give you an option to apply for Oxford. They actually make it pretty easy. Good luck with Emory, and if that doesn’t work out, good luck with Oxford!
