<p>It all depends on what you are looking for. I'm just down the road from UA, and I have lived here all my life, so I am more than ready to get out of the south, to live in a new environment. I "applied" to Bama by sending them an updated transcript and I got in with no effort. I talked to heads of CBHP and UF, and told them not to pick me as a finalist for either, but I could still go to Bama and be making money while going to college. It pretty much disappeared from my possible colleges to attend as soon as I got accepted into some other colleges like UNC and Emory. Alabama has a long way to go before it is on the same level as most colleges accross the country, but being a UF would be a good experience. Personally, I don't think any college is worth a quarter million dollar of debt, especially if you are thinking about grad school after that.</p>
