I know my SAT scores are in the lower 50% of Emory Scholars Finalist... so I don't know whether I should go for it or not.

I haven't finished the supplemental essay yet, so if I apply for RD, my essay will be better.

Chance me for Emory Scholars please!

p.s. I live in Canada, so travelling to Atlanta for 3 days will be a big trip for me... In case I get selected as a Finalist, will they provide the cost for the trip?

I have no doubt that you will get in Emory University but Emory scholars program is really, really competitive. Good luck. My friend who goes to Emory had similar stats(except APs, she had 9 or so) and she didn’t get it.

…And if you are a citizen why did you take Toefl?

@paul2752‌ My parents both speak Korean, so my first language is Korean although I am fluent in both Korean and English. Some universities require TOEFL regardless of your citizenship if your first language is not English.

Oh, well that’s a really unnecessary requirement, considering your SAT already indicates you speak quite well.

No doubt you will get in school. Good luck for Emory Scholar…I think only 600 were picked last year.
