Emory Scholars or Washington U.?

Hello,

Just a few days from the May first deadline, I'm facing two options: Emory Scholars with a 2/3's paid tuition and Washington U. with no financial assistance. Any thoughts?

Emory

Enjoy

do you think there is any reason to go to Emory if money is not a concern?

does being in the Scholars program put you ahead of other grad. school applicants in any way?

show me the money -- Emory, a no-brainer.

Emory is arguably as good or too close. I know plenty who would choose it over WashU without financial assistance. No brainer here.

Emory, done.

I just visited Wash U and was very impressed by them, to be honest. And it seems they have such a huge acceptance rate into Med schools...I know that without the schoolarship at Emory ,I would't hesitate to go to Wash U.

Yeah, but Emory does very well also. Sure WUSTL might be a little advantage, but not much if any. One good rec from a professor could delete this advantage. Also, the quality of life is very similar at both. With all these things to think about, I really would go Emory.

Since money's a concern, Emory. BTW, both schools have fine & well-respected med schools. The student bodies at both schools have many similarities so it may come down to St. Louis vs. Atlanta. But, IMHO, Emory.

Money is not a concern. I value the scholarship for what it means, not necessarily for the money ...I just want to get into the best program I can

I would pick Emory over Wash U even without the scholarship. Use that money for med school.

emory based upon the money.
