Emory Scholars Rejected. So now Wellesley?

I wasn't selected as a semi-finalist for Emory University's Scholars Program.

Wellesley is my first choice, and now I'm losing confidence. I didn't think it was that hard for me to be semi-finalist, and I'm judging Wellesley as harder than Emory's Scholars Program.

any opinions..?

Emory is one program and Wellesley is another. Have faith in yourself and your abilities; the rest is out of your hands.

I was rejected from the Emory Scholars program as well and I'm not worrying about it. I wouldn't let it hurt your confidence too much. You're just as competitive for Wellesley as you were before the Emory Scholars notifications! I always had the notion that the Emory Scholars program was VERY competitive. They received something like 2,500 applications and there were 350 semi-finalists. 14% of those who applied became semi-finalists. Wellesley is definitely very selective, but I wouldn't lose hope if I were you.

wellesley has a pretty unique way of selecting their prospies so keep heart. You never know what'll really happen because chances are they won't ask Emory how you did in their pool. =P
