Does anyone have information about how the Woodruff compares to the Foundation Fellowship at UGA?

What exactly does the Woodruff cover?

Doesn't the Foundation Fellowship cover everything plus stipends for study abroad?

Congratulations on two very excellent scholarships.

The Woodruff is tuition, fees, room & board--I believe everything except books, maybe? Definitely not as much travel, although tuition & room/board money can be used toward a semester of study abroad.

What do you want to major in? You have a very tough decision, I don't see where you can go wrong with either one. Depending your major, whether you want a more urban environment, size of the school, etc. My daughter is at Emory and loves it. Absolutely would not consider UGA. It was too big, too many kids from home, etc.

Your parents must be very proud of you.

emory!

it's just my opinion, but emory is the obvious choice no matter what you want to major in. it's much more prestigious.

My D has a full ride at Emory. She couldn't be happier even though she had great opportunities elsewhere. A guy down her hall has a similar situation and a GF at UGA on (I think) a major scholarship. The GF is at Emory most weekends since they both prefer it there. If you want to PM me with an e-mail I can ask her to pass the info along to someone with experience at both schools.

I know 2 students who are at UGA with FF. It seems that they're having amazing experiences thru the program. They are somewhere FAR(abroad) every single breaks and FF is covering all the expences. Emory's scholar program is great, covering tuition, room/board, and fees, but they do not offer much beyond that. Some free dinners and free tickets to cultural events cannot be compared to free trips to China, Tibet, Scotland, and more, in my opinion. If "name brand" is very important to you, take Emory. Otherwise, FF at UGA offers you so much more. Btw, my kid is a full ride Emory Scholar.
