Thanks guys, that was really helpful, only one more year till I’m in the same position as you I just had one question Taylorj21 said
Are you sure? I’m pretty sure Rice is in the center of Houston which is the 4th biggest city on the US.
I’m going to have so many problems deciding In addition to both being near large cities, Rice is literally across the street from the largest medical center in the US, and a large center for research. I actually have no clue how I’m going to choose.

Hey Premed4, sorry if i mislead, I realize that my sentence wasn’t phrased elaborately. Rice is 280 ish acres in a surrounded by a really wooded area (even though it is in Houston). This is what I meant by its “rural small city feel”. Choosing between the Texas Medical Center and the Center For Disease Control is really up to what you want to do in the medical field.

Also, are any of you applying for the Emory Scholar program? I was thinking about that for next year, and just wanted to see what anyone doing it now knows about it.

premed4 - Emory Scholor program is nomination based and each HS can send upto 4 nominations. Forms are sent out in late summer and you have to follow-up with your HS to be nominated.

lol yeah im freaking out…and i remember reading the class of 2014’s thread, they had much more activity in their chat. GOODLUCK EVERYONE! i’m in china so it comes out on the 16th for me :(

My senior grades are about .2 lower than what i have usually been getting. I am praying i get in to Emory ED cause if other colleges see my senior grades they might not take me!! : (

Not gonna lie, I’m freaking out. I’m so happy someone made this thread! Let us suffer together over the internet as our ED results day draws near!

ED1, Emory Scholars Candidate.
FREAKING OUT. So many of my friends hear back from Cornell today - I can’t believe we have to wait another week…longest week of my life.
