Emory, USC, or Tulane

I got into Emory USC and Tulane and each one appeals to me for different reasons. I just cannot make up my mind. I plan to study business (i'm not sure what kind yet). I got a 108,000$ scholarship from Tulane and no money from any of the other two. My parents are willing to pay at another school if I choose it over Tulane but still 108,000$ is hard to overlook. I live in Southern California and USC is close to home which I like. Meanwhile Emory has provides excellent education and is very well respected. Any thoughts of where I should go?

For $108,000 you could fly home from NOLA, if you wanted to, on a private jet multiple times a year…

I would eliminate Emory from the equation; especially if you want to settle in CA after graduation; recruiting there is primarily southeast…

Is this USC-Marshall?

mike,
The $27K/yr scholarship means you got the presidential at Tulane, which should also come with admission to the honors program as well. Are you a NMS? Will you get scholarship money from USC as well?

Alumni networks are strongest closest to the mothership. Emory will be strongest in Atlanta; Tulane - New Orleans and possibly Dallas; USC is Southern California. That doesn’t mean the other schools won’t have connections in other cities but there is such a thing as home field advantage. That said, the subject matter is the same at all three, you won’t learn anything at Emory or USC that is worth the extra $108,000. So you’re really paying for a network at the other two. IMO.

Yes USC marshall and jym626 ya it does put me in honors as well and no I’m not an nms nor am I receiving money anywhere else…

can’t go wrong with emory

Go to Tulane and save the 100K
