I have been accepted into both Emory University and Fordham University Lincoln Center for playwriting. Both schools have excellent reputations. With that being said, what are some of the pros and cons of each playwriting program? All feedback is appreciated. It is a really tough decision to make, and I'd just like to see all of your thoughts on both programs. Thanks!

Congrats on your acceptance to Forham’s playwriting program! I can’t say anything about Emory’s program but my son is at Fordham majoring in playwriting and performance and he thinks the program is outstanding.

It consists of writing seminars and productions. The experience in staging your work is invaluable and incoming students will be given 3 production slots. If you are not planning to double major you may find room in your schedule for study abroad or internship opportunities. And the Lincoln Center location is terrific!

I have written numerous posts on Fordham in this forum which you may want to search for or feel free to ask me any specific questions.
