Emory vs Pepperdine

To preface this, I know they’re both great schools (Emory and Pepperdine) and I’m grateful to have been admitted to both, but I just want to know what people who know the schools better than me think is the best fit.

  1. I’m a transfer student, so a significant part of the decision comes down to if there is stigma around transfer students, or if they’re easily accepted and integrated.
  2. I like being near cities with fun stuff to do like restaurants and idk just activities
  3. I want high academic rigor because I like studying a lot, and I really am not a big fan of partying
  4. I’m an international business major and I want to do entertainment business specifically
  5. I’m looking for a school that is really helpful in finding internship opportunities for their students because my current school doesn’t help at all so that is pretty important to me

Really different schools, here are some considerations:

What school were you admitted into at Emory?

What would you major in at each school?

How does internship and job placement work at each school? Can you access business internships/jobs at Emory if not in goizueta?

Are you ok with the religious vibe at Pepperdine?

Where do you want to live after college?

What are the net costs of each?

Interesting options. No wrong choice if tennis is one of your passions as Atlanta has the most active tennis community in the world, while Pepperdine has some of the best located tennis courts in the world.

lolol not much of a tennis person but good to know just in case
