Can anyone gives pros or cons to these schools. Interested in Political Science, Film and writing.
Thanks

From what I know of the listed four schools: Boston University's very well-known for Film and Writing.

Not sure about Film and Writing, but for Poli Sci I would choose UNC-CH. The program is pretty well respected (not top 10, but well within the top 20 IIRC), and I personally like Chapel Hill more than Atlanta.

For film, I'd definitely go for BU. If you're looking for writing as in journalism... either BU or Emory. Poli Sci? Definitely Carolina. I'm sure Carolina (due to its size) will have a good writing/journalism program and maybe even film. As much as it pains me to admit it, Carolina is the best academically all-around school of the four... Emory as a close second. I see no redeeming qualities to Miami other than a beach and majors in like... public relations.

I would recommend UNC-Chapel Hill over the others. UNC is actually very strong in English, Journalism, Writing and Political Science. I was also under the impression that it was solid in Film and drama. Plus, you cannot beat UNC for quality of life. Chapel Hill is amazing and the university has great school spirit.

Of course, those little SOBs did reject me, but otherwise, it is a fine university. Some people may say that it is a fine university PRECISELY because they rejected me! hehe

hmm.. what about for undergraduate business?
Carolina or Emory?

b u m p..............

The programs are so close in the ranks that it pretty much comes down to which school you prefer. Of course I'm biased being an NC resident so I favor UNC, but Emory is a good school too. However, Chapel Hill > Atlanta.

ohnoes, thanks for your input. Why do you say Chapel Hill is better than Atlanta?

Hehehe Alexandre, I was a UNC reject too -- 35 years ago
