I'm going for social sciences, prob poli sci or economics or something like that... I know Emory is ranked higher if that means anything, I've never visited UNC though and I've heard all good things. Chances are I will probably get into UNC's honors program cause im from out of state and I think (or at least I hope) I do pretty well. Where do you guys think I should go?

personally, i think you should go climb under a rock and slowly let yourself stop breathing

i <3 you RL

agreed...minus the love part

slonaeer why you up? go to bed kid, but RL is hilarious

i know im hilarious, but cna someone legit apart from these two mofos respond please

How important is money to you? UNC = Chapel Hill?

I actually have the same question. I can't decide if UNC or Emory is better, although I've heard bad and good things about both...

Oh well.

Oh - and yes I meant Chapel Hill.

i got into chapel hill as well, I think it really depends. Emory would probably be a better choice in the end. UNC is a great public school, so it would also depend on how much money you really want to spend. Yet for social sciences, I would prefer Emory.

did you apply to any econ schools? such as USC, Uchicago?

I actually did apply to USC and got the presidential scholarship (half tuition), but im not sure how thats an econ school cause ive heard their econ department sucks..

I am also deciding between Emory and UNC. It is such a difficult decision.
I know that UNC is ranked as having a top journalism program... I am wondering if anyone knows anything about journalism at Emory.

In social sciences to include Poli-sci, sociology and history, UNC trumps Emory in US News ranking if you'd care to note. Particularly at graduate level, UNC social sciences and humanities departments are often ranked roughly w/in top 10(Poli-sci/Sociology/history), top 20(english/psychology) and top 30(economics) according to the ranking.
