Hey guys! I've been accepted to both Emory College of Arts and Sciences and LSA at the University of Michigan. Wait listed at Vanderbilt and still waiting on Cornell's College of Human Ecology. If I get into Cornell or Vandy, I'll def be attending there but if not then its either emory or umich. I want to major in biology or neuroscience and want to get into medical school after undergrad.

Do you know where i'll have a better chance of getting in to medical school? How hard are academics at these schools? like where's it easier to maintain a higher GPA? Score well in MCATS? Which one of these gets more students into medical schools? How are the advisors? How are research opportunities? Access to the university hospital for volunteer work/shadowing?

I like Umich because its a highly respected school and heard of the awesome research opportunities but I hear academically its really competitive and the school's huge so I really wont get much personal attention/time with professors. Emory is ranked higher (20th us news vs. UM 28th), is more "modern," and offers smaller classes but its not as respected as Umich or as well known. I'm not sure how rigorous the courses are there.

Social life wise I sorta prefer umich because I heard its a more diverse campus and there lots of pakistani's there (i'm pakistani) while emory is full of rich snobby people. But I want you guys to tell me if this is true or not. I'm not into partying and would really like to concentrate on my studies. I'm getting good money from umich (i'm OOS) and waiting on emory but I thiink it'll give me the same amount.

So current students/graduates/everybody! tell me how your experience was at ^ schools and where you think I would be better off spending the next 3 years of my life! sorry for the long post and thank you so much for taking time to read this!
btw i'm transferring from Rutgers in NJ
