I’m sending an email but i’m including new awards in the letter. I got into oxford college but for sure not going there because it’s wayyy too small for me. Anything you know about increasing chances of getting in besides what you mentioned?
Yea, I literally just told them its my #1 choice, and wrote a why emory essay, but that’s pretty much it. Good luck though, @jcan64

I heard they have a small waitlist. Do you guys think there aren’t many of us, assuming by the lack of posts on this thread?

Stastically Emory waitlists about a 1000 kids a year
I heard last year they accepted less than ten off the waitlist. The year before they accepted 200 … Any idea when we will know ?
@Kav1971 Each year is different and no they didn’t accept 200 kids from the wait-list for the class of 2017 that would be an absurd amount amount even if the yield was horrible. I can’t seem to find the date for the class of 2018 however I did find the number of kids that got off the wait list for other years

Class of 2016: 37
Class of 2015: 136
My daughter was wait listed to Emory and accepted to Oxford. She was only interested in Emory because of Oxford because Emory is to big for her. From what I have heard the first two years at Oxford are a better education anyway so I think a lot of people don’t bother taking a spot on the Emory college wait list if they are already in Oxford. I think she is not planning to accept at either though, I believe she is going to Rice.

so we know if they will take anyone off the waitlist this year.
Also, does anyone know what happens in the case of students who applied to Emory and Oxford but were accepted at Oxford and waitlisted at Emory. In other words, will they take Oxford students who have accepted the Emory waitlist, off the Emory waitlist ahead of those who did not apply or did not accept Oxford?
Pulled my name off the waitlist. accepted admission to Rice University
Sort of worried that Emory hit a record number of applied students this year. Seems to decrease our chances of being accepted off the waitlist

@Epicorangeninja mine is Georgia tech, but I would choose emory ANY given day (no offense) because emory happens to coincide with my interests a lot more. Really want this
