on USNWR, emory overall is ranked #17 while nyu is like #35 and gtown is like #23. emory’s undergrad b-program is 4th in the nation (accordin to businessweek i think) and its rly rly good
to get in, u have to get into emory first, and then u apply to the business school during ur 2nd year at emory

Emory is a great school and a great slight-reach for you. Stern has better placement but its social life is lacking. Gtown is also a great fit and has great placement. Rutgers isnt close to any of these.

Emory is a top level business school and higher than all but Penn (Wharton), UC Berkeley (Haas), Michigan (Ross), and MIT (Sloan); (equal with NYU). NYU is considered better for finance, while Emory is better for marketing.

Emory’s biggest downfall is it’s Atlanta location (nothing wrong with Atlanta except that it’s a ways from there to the top recruiters in New York, Chicago, Boston, Washington, DC and Los Angeles/San Francisco). If you want to work in Atlanta, Charlotte, Jacksonville, New Orleans, or Miami, it’s probably the best school to go to.

Emory’s recruiting is focused on leadership, leadership, leadership–your showing potential in this is key–and it’s about the only undergraduate business school I know of besides Wharton where an interview is mandatory for admittance.

P.S. I should also mention that it is affiliated with the Baptist church–so I believe one class in religion or ethics is a requirement for graduation.

Best of luck.
