I will be attending Emory University next year and I have heard that Emory students interact a good deal with students from UGA and GT. Is this true? Would Emory students go to football games/parties at UGA or like take classes and attend workshops on the UGA or GT campus? Additionally, do people from UGA and GT spend time on the Emory campus? What is the real relationship between these schools?
Thanks so much!!!
@LHS2017 : Relationship is usually better with Tech for obvious reasons (location and the fact that Tech has more out of state pull than UGA so even a non-Georgia resident at Emory may know a couple of people from Tech, especially STEM majors), but Georgia residents can usually get you good connections at UGA. Some Tech students may spend time on Emory’s campus but UGA is all the way in Athens so that is kind of rare except when breaks are not synced (normal). So like during their spring break, a lot of students from UGA from the Atlanta area may hang out with friends who attend Emory. There is also a shuttle between Emory and Georgia Tech. Students may cross-enroll at other Atlanta universities when an equivalent course is not offered at their institution so 3-2 engineering students may take a class or two at GT.
