I love what I’m reading about Kenyon, but my great fear, as a parent, is that my son will have to be a barista at Starbucks unless he continues on to a professional program after graduation. How realistic is this fear? Do companies actually recruit liberal arts grads from Kenyon?
As only a prospective student, I can’t answer your exact question; however, I know Kenyon has a network of ~8,000 alums who are eager to help Kenyon students obtain jobs and internships before and after graduation. I’ve talked to current students who have gotten internships at places like Google and a publishing company in NYC through the help of this network. From what I’ve heard, it sounds like alums are really passionate about Kenyon and helping its students!
As a parent of a current Kenyon student I can assure you that companies actively recruit on campus.
