How do you receive EMT certification as a high school student?

It doesn't matter what school you're in, it matters that you're at least 18.

Find a hospital or ambulance corps. near you that offers classes. Some colleges and community colleges also hold these classes. There's usually a several hundred dollar fee associated with them, and the EMT-B cert is about a 130 hour course if I remember correctly.

You don't necessarily have to be 18; it depends on what state you're in and the laws in that state. In my state (CT), you can get your certification at 16 (I got mine at 17). NREMT (National Registry) certification does require you to be 18. Most places will not let you work, at least as a full member/employee, until you are 18.
