EMT courses at northeastern

Can someone give me some quick information on how the EMT courses are? Like price and quality and what you can do after you take the course?

The EMT courses are through the College of Professional Studies, right? So it’s somewhat separate than the rest of the Northeastern undergraduate system, and it won’t count toward anything for your degree. I have a friend who took EMT courses, but she did them at BU (as a Northeastern student). Except for convenience, there’s not a big benefit to taking Northeastern’s EMT courses, so it might be worth shopping around.

As for what you can do with it, if you’re thinking of co-ops it does open up some opportunities for co-ops that require certifications that allow you to work with patients. However, I wouldn’t expect to be able to find a part-time job as an EMT in Boston; it’s a very competitive market with a privatized professional ambulance service.
