Congrats to your daughter!!! Such a relief to both of you for her to have a job in her major upon graduation.
For my son, so far so good. I am impressed by the Internship class and that it is helping him get in the right frame of mind to prepare to get out there and “do” now in his major as opposed to 4 years down the road. Fingers crossed that he will be as successful as your daughter in the end.
I know this thread has been here for a while, but just wanted to chime in. 2 of my son’s went to Nichols upon graduation from a prive HS. 1 business management, the other finance (graduated double finance/accounting). The HS they went to was very small (50 kids per graduating class) and fuond Nichols to be comparable. They both came home many many weekends. The loved the classes and had no issues graduating and finding employment immediately upon graduation. It was suprising how many MA employers knew about Nichols. It seems to have a good reputation. I had never heard of it until my 1st son applied. Both of there roommates were Sports Management majors. They did well also.
I am now looking for my daughter. She was accepted to Endicott and Merrimack (and Assumption ad Roger Williams). She has narrowed it down to Endicott and Merrimack. I would give the edge to Endicott, but have to keep in mind the info session was given by faculty. Very well spoken with possible knowledge to sell! Merrimacks info session was lead by a student. Both presentations were great. Loved the 100% internship Endicott tooted. Merrimack was at 89%. My daughter is an athlete, so we were very interested in what each had to offer so she could continue sports. Merrimack won on this side. A D1 school with bells and whistles for facilties. She would not be playing at varsity level, but they do have clubs which play against other colleges, so this was a big plus. They also had intramural. Endicott did as well, but seemed like it was a bigger deal at Merrimack. Merrimack seems to have more going on during the day, students out and about, students at desks in common areas promoting their clubs, activities, fundraising for Ukraine etc… Endicotts common areas were almot vacant. Both schools are shiny. Nichols a bit older, but loved the private bath in each room (double or triple).
Bottom line, for the education, I would ever so slightly lean towards Endicott (if everything they said was true!!). Overall college experience, I would choose Merrimack. You cant go wrong at Nichols. There is next to no campus life, but you will leave with an education and get a job.
