Did anyone submit an application? On my on-track it's saying that my application is incomplete and I'm missing "11/12 Dep Verif Worksheet". I talked to someone at admissions and they said my application was actually complete and the status should say complete....but it's been days and it STILL says incomplete. Anybody else having this problem?

I had a phone interview for the endowment scholarships. I think I bombed it. Does anyone know if you do not get fellow or endowment scholarships if Elon offers any other scholarships/grants in their financial aid package? I really want to go to Elon but have heard they do not give a lot of financial aid. Any thoughts?

The website doesn’t look promising for financial aid. It appears that rather than offer financial aid they try to keep the costs down. Certainly hoping there is some more grant money somewhere there as well because right now Elon is at the very top end of our range.

Daughter chose as an alternate for Endowed Scholarship…now the question is, do we have her go with the school that is more financially responsible or allow her to attend the school of her cho8ice?? Hard question…

klpawl… you are correct in that Elon keeps their “full-pay” price down for everyone, and as a result gives out less in financial aid than many schools.

The important thing to keep in mind is not how much your financial aid package is, but how much your NET cost to attend will be, when comparing schools.

For example, one of my daughter’s friends was admitted to Elon with a Presidential scholarship last year of $4k, which left a cost of attending for 2010-11 of about $31k. He was also admitted to another university with a $13k scholarship. But his net cost of attending the other univ was still $36k, because their full price was $49k. So although his scholarship package at the other school looked much better, in the end that school was still more expensive than Elon.
