So I’ve had a passion for engineering since I can practically talk. And recently I’ve had a newfound interest in journalism and photography. I’m actually considering a double major in mechanical engineering and journalism. So I want to know, what is it like to double major in mechanical engineering and journalism? I really am leading towards Rutgers rn because its in state and I wanna save money for grad school. So can you telle what engineering and journalism at Rutgers is like? Plz and thanks!
You mention your desire to go to grad school. Many people pursue journalism as a master’s degree rather than a bachelor’s degree. That’s another option for you. You could minor in journalism and pursue extracurricular activities related to journalism, like writing and taking photos for the school paper or for a variety of online publications, including those related to engineering. You could have a blog, and create an online portfolio of photos. Double majoring might take more than four years, unless you start college with lots of AP credits.
