Mechanical engineering degree or communications/journalism degree?

I am stuck between these two majors. I really love sports and could spend my whole life studying statistics and covering sports, but I am afraid that with the job market I am going to end up working at Burger King or some other place. I am currently a Mechanical Engineering major and my gpa is about 3.3, but I spend so much time studying and I am slowly starting not to enjoy the math. Is finding a job in sports journalism that difficult? I also plan to go to graduate school after no matter what for engineering or sports journalism.

May I ask which school are you attending? Frankly, 3.3 in mechanical engineering is nothing to laugh at. But depending on what school you are attending, you may or may not find a job after graduation. As to journalism, well, top jobs are even more competitive.

Anyway, for grad school, a 3.3 is not high.
