Engineering at GMU

How good is the Engineering school at GMU overall, especially in Computer Engineering/Science?

I know that they are constructing a brand new buidling devoted specifically to engineering and it was massive when I visited. I think bio-med and comp. engineering is one of their strong points.

Go to Virginia Tech...the Engineering department is much much much better.

He has a point.

yeah I know, I applied to Virginia Tech as my top choice as early decision and got deferred so I'm waiting to hear in March or April, but GMU might be my second choice for in state tuition purposes because I already got accepted and I have family in that area. I am just wondering if anybody out there has anything to say about computer science/engineering or just engineering overall at GMU.

Oh ok...good luck with your regular decision acceptance to Virginia Tech.

Uhm, engineering is good, but VT is much better. That's a known fact though. However, the downside of that, is VT is much HARDER. I know plenty of people who transfered from VT elsewhere because it was too hard. So it's just what you feel is a better choice. It's definitely a lot of work at both colleges, but presumably, harder work at VT.
