<p>Are any of your kids involved in any engineering clubs (engineers without borders, structural engineers of CA)? If so, how active are the clubs and do they also become part of your kids’ social connections? Thank you!</p>
<p>I’m involved in some engineering clubs. A lot of the big ones like Engineers Without Borders have a lot of people. I remember on the first day, more than 100 people showed up. You would go to a meeting about every other week. For clubs like Engineers Without Borders, you also meet with a subcommittee every Monday. In terms of other engineering clubs, there are always volunteer opportunities or different sports tournament opportunities. I get the emails every week even though I’m not in those engineering clubs.</p>
<p>My son has been heavily involved in the robotics club for the past 4 years. It meets once or twice a week (pizza lunch on Thursdays if I remember correctly). He’s made many friends through this club. Their big event is Roborodentia which is a robotics competition during the April open house.</p>

<p>My son is a freshman with Computer Engineering major also joins Robotics club this year. He learnt a lot from there and very enjoyed it although he spent a lot of time for preparation for Roborodentia. Through the project, it’s a very good chance for him to learn how to work with other people with different opinions and learnt how to compromise in a team.</p>
