Engineering Co-op

I'm a freshman engineering student and I'm interested in doing a co-op my sophomore year. Any info on how difficult it is on how to get a co-op and what you have to do to get one?

Here’s a link with some information [Advisors by major at Career Services for the Co-op / Internship Program](http://www.career.vt.edu/COOP/AdvisorsForMajors.html)

Thanks for the link. Has anyone done a co-op and do you recommend it?

I got one after my freshman year for 6 months with IBM in Austin, TX. I made some helpful career fair info slides that you can see here: <a href=“Career Fair Advice.pptx - Google Slides”>Career Fair Advice.pptx - Google Slides;

It’ll help you immensely when it comes to getting a job after you graduate, so I’d strongly recommend it if you can get one and don’t mind graduating a little later.
