Engineering Department at Santa Clara

Knowing next to nothing about the reputation and relative strength of engineering departments at west coast schools, can anyone with this knowledge comment on this department at Santa Clara University? Is there a particular engineering major there that it is known for? Do they have a pipeline to certain companies? Are their graduates able to compete well in the job market against other California school graduates? In your opinion, how would this school's engineering department rate in general vs Cal Poly SLO, UCLA, or UCSB? Thanks for any info those of you with personal knowledge or who are in the field can share!

Santa Clara has an excellent College of Engineering. Bioengineering and mechanical are the two largest programs, but all departments are terrific. SCU is known for giving undergraduates research opportunities. This doesn’t happen very often at large public universities.

Thanks so much for your input!
