Engineering -- Does this affect admissions chance?

Hopefully this wasn't already asked, but if I apply to Princeton Engineering, does that impact admissions chances? Like would that make it harder for me to get in?

Thanks!

Please, anyone? I would like to know this alos.
thanks

some say yes, some say no. honestly, no one really knows!!! its part of the mystery.

however, if you look at statistics, which a friend of mine and I did one time, it seems that there is a higher acceptance rate among people who apply for engineering. at the same time, princeton does realize that many people do drop engineering and the criteria for admissions into engineering may be higher.

so....we still dont know.

Your chances are probably only higher if you're a girl.

Hmm tentatively in my opinion it doesn't really matter. After you're accepted, you can switch between ab and engineering anyway, so I'd guess that admissions officers are very much aware of this.

I applied as undecided, putting two engineering majors and 1 AB majors for my interests. Considering they give applicants the "undecided" option, I'm sure it doesn't really make a difference.

their little admissions pamphlet says that the choice of major doesn't affect your chances for admission.
