<p>I’ll read it too. As I was chatting with admissions after being accepted, I discovered that the engineering essay is to see a couple things. </p>
<p>1) That you already have thought a good deal about engineering and what you want to do instead of “i’m good at math and science = engineering”</p>
<p>2) That you have a decent handle on the English language so that when you have to write reports, you can convey your thoughts clearly and effectively. (even though you may not like English, refer to point 1)</p>
