Engineering fellowships 2015 - Langsdorf and Woodward

Has anyone received a call about the engineering fellowships yet? I know some people have heard about Danforth but I'm not sure about anything else

I haven’t heard anything, so I sure hope the calls haven’t gone out yet. :/

^My son hasn’t heard anything either.

As I’ve stated before, nor have I.

Decisions are up on pathway… nada for me

Didn’t make it.
I’m really sad now. WashU was my first choice and I doubt I’ll be able to afford it now unless they go far beyond the FAFSA…

Didn’t make it either. WashU is just too expensive to attend without a scholarship. Guess WashU’s off my list:/

My son didn’t get one either. WashU is now off his list as well. That’s okay.

There are a group of us who will now have to rule out WashU for our kids and I find it sad. I realize that we are “blessed” to not be in dire financial straits, but darn it…that doesn’t mean we can afford any of these top schools.

This is not sour grapes, just sadness at the process and sadness that we cannot fund his dream school.

Good luck to all and congrats to the winners.

I didn’t get one either.

Son was also declined.

I’m ready to hear from someone who DID receive an engineering scholarship!

I’m also wondering how many of these WashU actually gives out.

I didn’t make it either. Seriously, I want to know who got one! Kinda disappointed as I really liked WashU, but I guess this makes my decision easier since we can’t afford it now.

@givings, i believe 12 engineering fellowships are given. 8 full-tuition and 4 half-tuition (to be decided in the interview process.) I’d like to hear who got one too, as i thought i might at least reach finalist standing (excellent stats & ec’s and recommendation letter from a college engineering prof). Oh well, I guess that’s what I get for applying to such a competitive school! Good luck to everyone who didn’t get it… hope we can all get something from other schools :)

I submitted an incomplete app and received the same rejection letter.

How many people get invited to interview?

@kate, thanks for the info. Twelve students is not many at all; this puts things in perspective for our family. I think this trend will be quite prevalent this year as applications are up up up for both admissions and merit aid.

And best of luck to you in this process.

@thesaam, i believe only 12 are invited. the interview only determines if you receive full- or half-tuition.
