ok, so just making sure that engineering students don't have to register for classes tonight... i'm planning to take math114, be100, chem101, phys101 (lab only) and bibb109. i haven't yet been assigned an advisor and i'm just making sure that freshman engineering students don't have to sign up for classes until orientation. i think i've seen this around somewhere, but i'd love some reassurance.

you don't have to sign up, just as nobody else "has" to sign up - but it's good to get preferable time slots for your recitations / lab classes / whatever

also - you're not going to be taking the phys 101 labs, but the phys 150 labs - big difference there, make sure to register for the right ones

ok, so i just went to try and register and it says that i need signoff from my advisor... pennportal says i dont yet have an advisor, so i'm just going to give up on acvanced registration. it shouldnt be a problem getting any of those classes though, right?

are you undeclared (cd) or be?

declared be-- so does this mean i'm guaranteed?

yeah you'll be fine

Wait... so I didn't really have to rush the course-picking? Because I was kind of blanking for a SS/H class to fill in my schedule and spent like two nights doing mock schedules and flipping through the timetable. :D

Hate to piggyback on this thread, but I was kind of wondering: what's the difference between a closed class and a canceled class? They both carry some obvious connotations, but would PennInTouch tell me a class was closed when I registered a request for it? Or wold it automatically take the alternate?
