omg, I need some info asap please!

<p>Could someone explain this to me please...I check on the LSA course guide/WA, and it tells me that there are like 9 slots open for section 100 for Engineering 101, and everything else is closed...that can't be right can it? I thought freshman could only sign up for classes when orientation starts...so only 9 more students can get in 101? I thought a lot of students would be able to take that class (since they pretty much gotta take that or eng 100 first semester, and 100 only has like 30 slots open too...), and orientation barely started, so how is that class sooo filled up?!</p>

<p>They open up a few slots every orientation. I don’t know why they do it, it’s stupid, but that’s how they do it. Don’t worry, you’ll get into 101. Certain sections of 100 and 151 might be full, but you’ll get something.</p>
