Can anyone provide info on the experience of being an engineering major at Binghamton? Are all classes large? How supportive is the program? What is the "flush out" rate? Mechanical engineering is of particular interest.

THANKS so much!

I can't speak from first hand experience, from what I can see from my friends, your schedule is basically made for you because of all of Waton's requirements. basically, you must take MATH 221: CALC I (or II, which both need to be completed), WTSN 103: TECHNICAL COMMUNICATIONS I (you get to take apart things and do a group project) and WTSN 111: EXPLORING ENGINEERING I (a lecture of the entire Watson freshman class) and one elective to fulfil your Gen Eds

It seems like you must have a particular mindset to be able to endure Watson's vigorous course. Analyzing, processing, configuring, etc. In addition, it is time constraining and consuming, as is everything else in college. Studying is key!

good luck
