The School of Information Technology and Engineering invited us last Friday to it's 20th birthday party. They announced that they would have a new name and a $10 million grant to kick off their capital campaign. There are increasing numbers of graduate students. Many people work and go to school in the evenings.

The engineering majors focus on many more modern techniques: knowledge engineering, systems architecuture, bioinformatics, network security, Bayesian statistics, and complexity. (Some of these are elswhere at GMU, but engineers can take courses there.) I'd say GMU has a bright future.
