engineering school?

I'm a senior from NH.

GPA- 4.0 out of 4.8
SAT's- 1920
AP's- US History (4 on the test), World History, Biology, Computer Sciences
Couple of extracurricluars (blood drive, math honor society, national honor society, etc.) including work experience since i was 16.

Im looking to go into engineering, and want to go to a big school preferably around a big city along the east coast but im open to ideas. Colleges ive looked into so far include: University of Maryland, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, University of Rhode Island, University of Florida, and Rutgers. Any other ideas? or comments for or against any of the schools listed?

Thanks

^^^ If URI makes sense why not UNH (other than UNH football choking big time against URI yesterday)? I’d say they’re on a par for engineering departments, size, location (relative to big cities). Why pay the OOS premium for URI?

BU & NU are in the city, good engineering depts too. Also WPI in worcester.

I would suggest Rowan and Drexel in the Philadelphia area

ive been to UNH. I didnt really like it. I want to go out of state. URI is really a safety school in the end. (and its on the beach)

thank you both for the info

University of Pittsburgh and NC State would be a good ones to check into. Best of luck!

case western reserve - Cleveland

Can your parents afford to pay for an OOS school?

As an OOS student Georgia Tech (in Atlanta) may be a little reachy for you as you are barely within the 25-75% of their SAT range, but worth looking into. Would be worth retaking the SAT or ACT though.

Lehigh and Bucknell
