I’ll be applying to Berkeley’s Engineering Math and Stats degree as a transfer student. The upper division coursework will consist of around half math and half engineering courses in EE or CS. Since my current college does not offer the lower division courses in engineering I need, I’ll be taking a 3rd year which I hope to take more engineering courses and possibly add the EECS minor. While I hope to attend graduate school to specialize in EE or CS, would this degree prepare me to work as an engineer if I decide not to go to graduate school? I believe the degree is not ABET accredited.
As a comparison, Engineering Math and Stats requires 16 units in Engineering while EECS requires 20 at the upper division level. I will be going over the 16 units for the Engineering Math and Stats degree.
