Are engineering students housed together, or are they all mixed in? Thanks for any help.

weenie, from our tour, I think that the choice is yours. You can choose to be in a learning community of all engineering students, you can also choose to be in a all freshman dorm or if you get into honors you can be in the honors dorm.

Thats what we loved about OSU, it seemed to have so many choices. It could be everything to everyone.

My brother is the honors engineering program, and he lives in Lincoln with a group of seven other guys, none of whom are in engineering, but his floor is "honors housing", and there are a lot of engineers on that floor.

My daughter wanted to live in Houck, the Women in Engineering dorm. She didn't send in her acceptance to OSU until May 1st, however, so she was closed out. Her second choice was Taylor Tower, an honors dorm. She is on a floor with almost all business students. She has had a great experience, but I think she noticed that it was nice for her roommates to have other people on the floor to study with, talk to about common classes, etc.

Whatever choice you make, the sooner you send in your housing info, the more likely you are to get your first choice.
