Engineering Supplement Essay if interested in CS?

I was writing an essay on my love of computer science for the supplement essay that is required if you're applying for an engineering major... when it hit me that computer science is not universally considered to be engineering...

So if I'm planning on majoring in Computer Science, is it alright that I attach and submit an essay answering the engineering prompt?

And for Princeton's engineering essay as well?

The prompt is as follows:

"If you selected one of the engineering majors, please write a brief third essay telling us what has led you to an interest in this field of study, what experiences (if any) you have had in engineering, and what it is about Yale's engineering program that appeals to you."

At Yale, I chose their joint major between EE and CS so I could write that essay. I didn’t really address the EE part in it though.

For princeton, they have a specific BSE in Computer Science which would allow you to write that essay.
