Hey everybody.

I am currently enrolled at the University of Michigan-Deaborn as sophmore double majoring in electrical and computer engineering. I am considering transferring to Ann Arbor's electrical engineering program and just received my notification of acceptance today. Typically this would be an easy decsion to make, however I have a full ride at Dearborn and am living at home, so cost of attendance is basically nothing there.

Thus I would like to ask the Michigan Engineers here (and anyone else who has some feedback) what they think my best course of action is. Is attending Ann Arbor for my last two and a half years of undergraduate school worth the large financial cost?

I'm not sure if anyone here is too familiar with Dearborn's engineering program. It's not horrible or anything, it just doesn't challange me very much. The USNews report places it around the programs at Michigan Tech and MSU.

Also it's important to note that I plan on attending graduate school to obtain my master's in electrical engineering, very possibly at Michigan. With this in mind several options form:

-Stay at Dearborn, save money, and attend grad school at Ann Arbor right away
-Go to Ann Arbor, work a year or two to pay off the debt, then go to grad school
-Go to Ann Arbor, drown myself in student loans and go to grad school right away

This is kind of a long post, my apologies if I bored you. If anyone has any input on my situation it would be greatly appreciated!

-Chris
