I'm stressed about which path I should take. What do you think? Accounting seems good. Can't decide on which type of engineering. (I love cars and technology though.) I can't decide which medical path either. (Can't decide among Family, Physicians Assistant, RN, Nurse Practitioner, Physical Therapist, Occupation Therapist, and Pharmacy.) There's so many choices and I don't know which one to take. Tell me about pay, stress, economy, satisfaction, and other stuff important. I need your help. Get detailed as possible. Longer the response, the better. Links to webpages would be good too. Thanks!

Sounds like your having a midlife crisis a little early. Go take a long walk in a park on a nice day and talk to your best friend about it. Let yourself take yourself into and out of every possibility. Always works

You are asking way too much. This site works best if you have specific, targeted questions, not frantic and ambiguous cries for help.

You can take engineer for your undergrad then get your MAcc or MBA. MAcc focus more on preparing students for the CPA/CMA exam and focus specifically on accounting. As the MBA will give you a broader business skills…or you could just take a double major in the two.

well, I’ve seen people say time and time again that Engineering is good for venturing into the business field, so I guess that brings it down to two.

Engineering VS Medical.

Pay - Medical has the higher pay but it takes a good few years to get the degree and you could be paying off debts or whatever for a while but still, you’ll be making some real Cha-Ching!

Engineering students get one of the highest pays right out of College and the salary caps at around $100,000 or whatever (not too shabby huh?) but there’s potential to go higher.

Stress- Most of the medical fields have more stress than Engineering fields. A doctor is basically on call 24/7. Then there’s the whole holding people’s life in your hands thing.

I think it can be less stressful if you own your own private office or whatever instead of working at a hospital though.

Engineers mostly work somewhere between 40 hr to sometimes 60 hrs or more work weeks.

Economy - I don’t know.

Satisfaction - That’s pretty much up to you I think. Choose whatever you like best and the satisfaction will come from doing that job.

Other stuff - Women love doctors more than Engineers. That’s a big plus in any field I think.

It all comes down to what you want to do most.

They both require hard work though most medical degrees take longer.

If you really feel Medicine is what you want to go into and you know you will make it through the work at medical school, go for it.

If Engineering sounds more interesting to you, go for that.

If you are unsure, then do more research online.
