Engineers in dorms?

I know there’s a special engineering dorm, K building in Tercero, but what if you’re an engineer who wants to live at Tercero but not specifically at K? Do you get priority over the other majors for living in Tercero or are you just put back into the applicant pool with everyone else? Thanks!

lol no. nothing is based on ur major it is simply based on housing preferences

segundo/tercero/cuarto
standard or suite
coed/not floor

of ppl

and if you would like to be in a theme program. you dont have to be in that major either to be in the theme program. you are just like any other applicant, only difference is seen in ur housing preferences.

I’m in engineering…want tercero…but don’t want to be in K. Not that engineers aren’t cool people, but i think i want to be with a mixture of people from all sorts of majors.

yup 10 char :)

Put Tercero as your first choice but don’t select the Engineering dorm option.

where do you sign up for housing?

You will be instructed in what to do on your my.ucdavis.edu once you accept your SIR.

try to stay away from people in your major, it might create heated arguments due to the cut throat competitition

My son is an engineering major and he finds the other engineering students to be very friendly and helpful. He has personally tutored several kids in his dorm in calculus.

I heard we should be getting an e-mail in mid-may about housing being available. It’s not first-come first-serve, it really is random. Hope everybody gets close to what they want:)
