I’m majoring in Managerial Economics and I took the ap english exam and I was wondering if that got rid of any english classes I will have to take. Some people tell me that I still have to take all the english classes required but then I found on the website that its the equivalent of English 1 and 3, which I’m signed up for English 3 right now. Can someone help clarify this for me?

I heard that it's only if you scored a 4 or 5 in the exam, that you are exempt from the beginning English classes.

yea, I scored a 4 and I'm currently signed up for English 3

It depends on the college. A 4 or 5 for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences: 4 unitsSatisfies first half of English composition requirement

The requirement for Man. Econ. is
at least 8 units from the following list:
English 3, University Writing Program 1, 18, 19, 101, 102A, 102B, 102C, 102D, 102E, 102F, 102G, 104A, 104F

Remaining 4 units from above list or from Comparative Literature 1, 2, 3, 4, Native American Studies 5, Communication 1

So you should need one more class.

I was actually afraid of that, I can't get into add/drop any of my classes anymore, when is the next time I can do that.

Are you a new student? Open registration period for new students is Aug 25–Aug 26. After that is pass 2, check your my.ucdavis for information on the date.
