Can anyone tell me how many freshmen students who has to take the Eng Composition 2i class because they did not fulfil one of the requirements to satisfy the UC Entry-Level Writing requirement? On average or an estimate would be helpful. And once you pass the 2i class, and go on to the Eng Comp 3, how many quarters is the Engish Comp 3 class? 2 quarters? 3? And do you think if I take the English 2i class in my Fall Quarter, you think I can fulfil my requirements of "Writing I (the campus requirement that follows ELWR) during your freshman year?" And if so, can you please give me a schedule on how to complete the "Writing I" requirement for freshmens. Thank you in advance.

I'm not positive, but im guessing that if you didnt complete the entry level writing requirement, then you'd take 2i your first quarter and english comp 3 your second quarter. english comp 3 is only one quarter, so I don think you have to worry about completing it.

how to complete writing assuming you didn't pass entry level

eng comp 2 first quarter
eng comp 3 second quarter

now for Writing II, if you take a cluster, and you complete the above two eng comps by spring quarter, you will get ALL your writing requiremknts done by end of freshmen year.

if you dont take a cluster, you can take any writing II class after winter

thanks for the help guys. :)

Sorry for the double post, but what is the difference between English Composition 2i and English Composition 2? Which one is more advance? And if I get a C or higher in my English Composition 2i class, do I still need to pass the Analytical Writing Placement Exam in order to take English composition 3 class?
