I am really interested in attending Trinity univ as a premed student. So I am in a dual credit english class, english 1301 and 1302. I was just informed that 1301 will not be accepted, but only 1302 will. What credit will just 1302 get me? And do premed students need another english semester as a prerequisite for med school? If so, would it look bad to take english over the summer, either at the univ or at a community college? Also, can I get some tips on how FYE is?
Every student must do the FYE, First Year Experience, class their first semester. This can consist of a wide array of topics, typically multi-disciplinary, taught by two different prof’s. You receive credit towards the Pathways curriculum requirements for this 6-credit class.
I would contact the Registrar’s office to see how your 1302 class would help in fulfilling your requirements.
Realistically, you are not going to have the time or energy to fill up all 15-17 credits with life science classes and labs. It just is not feasible for scheduling or work load, so you will need to sprinkle in some other classes as well.
My S is a CS major, which is intense, but is taking an Art History class this semester and has really enjoyed both the materials, but the break it gives him from coding.
Good luck!
